Calling Talented L6 Student Athletes For 2017 Cohort

As our current cohort of U6 students are applying to begin their studies in the United States in 2017, Education Matters is currently seeking L6 students who will apply for 2018 admission.  The Student Athlete Cohort assists highly motivated high school student athletes, who want to continue both their academics and sport at a high level, to negotiate the process of applying for sport scholarships and to gain places on sport teams at colleges and universities in the United States,

Education Matters’ first Student Athlete Cohort are off to a great start, as they begin their tenure as student athletes at colleges and universities around the United States.    While Fed Bescotti formerly Headboy of Hellenic Academy, plays water polo for the MIT Engineers, Sarah Hawgood of Arundel is clocking great times for the St Olaf cross country team. Cyclists Helen Mitchell who was at Hellenic and Stacey Hyslop from Peterhouse Girls are experiencing new levels of road and mountain biking at Milligan and Lee McRae Colleges.  Peter Wetzlar has made the traveling swim team at University of Kentucky while former Dominican Convent Headgirl Kudzai Mushongahande is saving goals for the hockey team at Earlham College.

The Student Athlete Cohort is open for applications for those currently in L6 who will be in U6 in 2017.  Applicants should be playing their sport at a serious national or provincial level, should be solid academically. We do not charge students, but do expect them to participate fully in their application process and will not work with students who are simultaneously working with any other agent.  We require all members of our cohort to register with a U.S. Embassy EducationUSA center.
